Well, this idea just came to me about twenty minutes, so I wrote a little up on it and here it is. I'm not sure on the abilities, so if you can recommend some to me, that would be great. Critiques will be appreciated. :) Don't forget it's about five in the morning, so I'm tired, and I did this in twenty minutes. Occasionally, Undead are infused with an element not negative energy. The element becomes their source of 'life' and their tie from the Negative Energy Plane switches to that of the Elemental Plane they are now infused with. "Elemental Undead" is a template which can be added to any corporeal undead creature. Size and Type: The creature gains the subtype appropriate to the element infused into it. It's size does not change. Speed: If the creature is infused with air, it gains a flight speed equal to twice its normal base speed. It's movement is good. If it already has a flight speed, it gains +30 to its speed and its manueverability increases by one. If it is infused with water, it gains a swim speed equal to twice its base speed. If it is infused with earth, it gains a burrow speed of twice its normal speed. Armor Class: If the creature is infused with earth, it gains natural armor +4. Attacks: If the creature is infused with earth, its physical attack is increased by one die type. If it does not have one, it also gains a slam attack. Special Attacks: Additional Damage (Ex): If the creature is infused with any element, it deals additional damage depending on its subtype. Whenever it strikes a creature with its natural attack or hit by an unarmed or natural attack, it deals 1d6 damage (fire for fire, acid for earth, cold for water, and lightning for air). Water Stride (Su): Creatures infused with water can walk into one source of water and out another as if with tree stride except using water. Fire Stride (Su): Creatures infused with fire can walk into one source of fire and out another as if with tree stride except using fire. Special Qualities: Undead lose any attacks which causes negative levels or negative energy damage. They are also not healed by inflict spells or injured by cure spells. Instead, their wounds are healed by the elemental type they are attuned to. Turn Immunity: These undead are no longer turnable by standard means. However, they can now be turned by abilities which normally turn elemental creatures. Abilities: Air: +4 Dex Earth: +4 Str Fire: +2 Str, +2 Dex Water: +2 Str, +2 Dex Challenge Rating: +3 Alignment: Since they are not charged with negative energy, undead elementals are no longer restricted to being evil, though few actually turn away from evil.
