I personally love the Patron elements of Eberron, not just the rules themselves but the examples and detail of the organizations described. I do think a good segment of this book should be a Faerun Gazzeeteer as you clearly want, but it shouldn't be the whole book either.I'm holding my copy of Ravenloft 5E now, and only 120 pages are on the "lore" of the Domains. I'm not sure I need much more than 150 pages or so on lore of the geography, the rest should be made up of material like rules for organizations, powerful cults, patrons, stats of new monsters and some important NPCs.</blockquote>
