Sea elves spend most of their time swimming, and so swimming is natural for them as walking to surface elves.</p><p>* Hold breath: Sea elves breath air but they can hold breath underwater (and only underwater) for much more time, like dolphins and other water mammals: they can hold breath underwater for 5 minutes per point of constitution. Every after that time they must make a constitution check every minute (CD 10, +1 every minutes). When they fail the check they'll start drowning; if they manage to reach the air, they are automatically exhausted. Also, if they hold breath for more 3 minutes per point of constituition they become fatigued.</p><p>* Favored class: bard or sorceror (they like art and magic, but wizardry is not suitable for them as spellbooks would get wet). They must choose the favored class at 1st level and cannot be changed.</p><p><em>Note:</em> sea elves receive no penality when out of the water, but anyway they really don't like to stay away from the sea for long. </p><p></p><p><strong>Winged Elves</strong></p><p><em>Winged elves have the following traits</em></p><p>* Fly 70 ft (average), but only if lightly encumbered. Cannot use large weapons while flying.</p><p>* - 4 Con (instead of the normal -2): winged elves have hollow bones and are frail.</p><p>* +2 Dex: winged elves are swift as birds.</p><p>* Superior eyesight: +4 to spot (instead of the standard +2).</p><p>* -2 to saves against fire (because the feathery wings catch fire easily)</p><p>* Unusual anatomy: because of the wings they nead custom made armour (that costs double the price).</p><p>* Favored class: wizard</p><p></p><p>-------------</p><p><strong>Note:</strong></p><p>This elven races are not perfectly balanced nor among themselves nor among the standard PHB races. This is not a problem in my campaign where players are not minmaxers. </p><p>I tried to be as balanced as possible without having to sarcifice my ideas. </p><p>Also note that the Sea Elves are not suitable for PC unless running a campaign where characters are always on the coast or in the sea.</p></blockquote><p></p>
