I really don't know.  How high is Denver - something like 5,000 feet?  [Hence its nick-name of mile-high?]  I'd say currently the party is about halfway to Denver's altitude in RL.  To go over the "easy" pass they'll be climbing a good bit of that height into the snow capped mountains.  [That's why there aren't many predators up there - the climbs are tough and the temperature changes drastically with the steep increase in altitude.  [I hope that makes sense from a geologist's perspective]As for the rest ...
