That 5th level fighter has 7 levels on this suckers in a 20 level game. To me that difference should feel huge.</p><p></p><p>At the end of the day I do not think there is a meaningful way to get the best of both worlds. In game design you have to set priorities and deal with meaningful trade offs. The two games are about very different sorts of fiction and the mechanics reflect that in a meaningful way. There is nothing wrong with preferring one over the other. </p><p></p><p>I am not trying to make an argument here.
