Warring when needed to keep the balance and protect it.</p><p></p><p>The Aelves live in harmony with the Beasts and Plantae, taking what they need and replacing what they take. They went forth in small numbers to learn magic (arcane and divine) and take it back to their hidden forest homes. They spent countless millenia practicing and waiting for the Humans to come to them for war.</p><p></p><p>Shara planted the seeds in their beings to serve Moss, Selanial, and Shara first, then U-Do, Tocho, and Toranna. She also plants the seed to encourage combatting those of Endovior and Jemal.</p><p></p><p><strong><span style="color: DarkOrange">Aelven Culture</span></strong></p><p>The Aelves worked hard and created an empire forged in magic, nature, and war. The ffolk practiced the magical arts and combat so that they could destroy the Humans when they brought war to them. They engaged in successful trade and crafts of various sorts. They lived in constant harmony with the Plantae and Animals. In their off time they practiced many different professions: arts, crafts, smithing as well as the more acedemic and scholarly paths. Most Aelves will pick one way in which they will serve their people and spend their life in pursuit of perfecting it. The ffolk have a great apprection for a well made item. They even more desire a functional item that is also beautiful to behold. Woe is it to give a functional yet unadorned item. The beauty of the item should be reflected in its appearance as well as its funtionality. If it is worth making its is worth making masterpiece. Why waste your time working if you will not create it in the best way that you can. </p><p></p><p>Aelves pursue perfection in mind, body, and craft and have hundreds, if not thousands of years to pursue that goal. They will look down upon those that do not pursue their life in a similar manner. Taking shortcuts when making something or not decorating it is an great insult and shows lack of dedication and/ or knowledge in their craft. Creating an item is not just something you do. It is an exercise in self exploration, self expression, ans self mastery. Every piece is forged in the blood sweat and tears of its crafter. Aelves feel and think long and hard before they crafts something to ensure that the item will be beautiful and functional. Each item is an expression of the artists self and craft.</p><p></p><p>Aelves by their nature are lawful and Good, with some swaying to Chaos and Neutrality. The Aelves live to better their peoples lives working hard and playing hard. They take living in harmony with nature and their chosen professions quite seriously. They have a stalwart dedication to their Nature, Profession, Family, People, City, Country, and Ruling Soveriegn. They have spent millenia living their life in a miltary fashion waiting for the inevitable Human invasion. Respect for authority and the wisdom of their elders is very ingrained into each and every Aelv as they are growing up.</p><p></p><p><span style="color: DarkOrange"><strong>Procreation and Courting</strong></span></p><p>Aelves prefer other Aelves as mates. It is rare if they choose a non-Aelv mate. The Offspring will generally be Aelven as the Blood of the Aleves runs true and strong. When mating with Humans their is a 48% chance that the offspring will be Human or Elf. The other 4% of hte time the off-spring will be Half-Aelven and will enbody the best of both races almost to the point of being superior to the either parent races. Half-Aleves are rare and Aelves mating with non-Aelves is even rarer an occurrence.</p></blockquote><p></p>
