Enchant the weapon of a Nimblewright?

RUMBLETiGER

Adventurer
Monster Manual II p.162, the Nimblewright construct. This creature has 2 Rapiers it fights with, and those rapiers are attached to and extend/retract into the wrist at will.

Should one be able to place a weapon enchantment upon these rapiers? They are weapons, and they are extensions of the construct itself.

What Samloyal23 said. And in short "don't sweat the small stuff". Nimblewrights are robot-swashbucklers with two rapiers, of course their rapiers can be enchanted. :p

So.. no more Slam attacks?

I do not see why they have to be excluded, it depends on how you design and program the construct and how you define the attack mode. I always pictured a slam attack as more like a tackle or headbutt than a punch or kick. You can build a construct to imitate natural behaviour or not. You could have one that only know how to use a particular weapon or one that imitates the attacks of a specific animal.

Also, I see know reason why any variety of magical items cannot be built into a construct during creation. Just add the cost of the items to the total cost of the construct, in time, money, and xp...

Or give them levels in Weapon Master (S&F).

In 3.0 IIRC I had a super-nimblewright weapon master with a crit range of like 6 or 7-20, with the option to call maximum damage if he didn't score a crit. :p
