Message: <blockquote data-quote="Master of the Game" data-source="post: 2310635" data-attributes="member: 9220">That's a definate problem.  Perhaps what the publishers need is a way to rate reviewers based on reliability.  That way you can feel a bit more comfortably sending a product off to be reviewed.I'm working on two reviews right now for books that I recieved comp copies of yesterday, and though it is time consuming, I couldn't see why it would take me more than a week for each book.  That gives me time to read through each a couple of times and really think about what I like/dislike, and write up a thousand words or so.  Depending on my real job, maybe less time.The point is, I would like to think that people could rely on me, and in the buisiness world I stake my reputation on that every day.  I'd like to think that this sort of thing would be rewarded online the way it is in the real world.  Perhaps a way to track when comp sopies are sent out, and how long the turn around is before a review is written, then the publishers could just ask people with a good record to do reviews for them, and reviewers wouldn't take on more than they could handle for fear of slowing down their turn-around time.</blockquote>
