Message: <blockquote data-quote="Ovinomancer" data-source="post: 6732890" data-attributes="member: 16814"><p>You're assuming that all drug companies have product lines that treat common viral symptoms.  There are many that don't, and no reason for them to not get involved in a massive windfall drug that doesn't impact their revenue streams in any way.  There should be plenty of companies capable of supporting this research out there.  The reason he can't attract them is probably because the actual state of his research is very early and/or has a few major technical hurdles to overcome that he's not advertising in his indiegogo campaign (because he doesn't have a duty of full disclosure there, and he would to any competent drug company offering funding).  The way he wrote up his successes in his 2011 paper raise my flags of 'carefully controlled conditions in the lab,' meaning that it's nowhere near commercial use or even near clinical trials.</p></blockquote><p></p>
