Enkwell Press (www.enkwell.com) is proud to announce its very first product, "The Love of Art: Drawn to Gehenna". Published in partnership with DireKobold.com, "The Love of Art: Drawn to Gehenna" is a D20 adventure designed for an average of four 8th level characters, but by taking advantage of DireKobold's revolutionary Xenogenic Publishing System(tm) the adventure may be dynamically scaled from 6th level all the way up to 12th and for a party comprised of anywhere from 1-12 characters. The adventure is set on the plane of Gehenna in the richly detailed town of Byldgewater, a dark and decadent oasis on this otherwise inhospitable plane.
”The Love of Art: Drawn to Gehenna", at its core, begins to deal with the perplexing philosophical quandary as to whether art itself can be evil. In its well crafted pages, the characters are tasked with guarding and delivering one such example of this lurid and graphic type of artwork from their home world to the uniquely bizarre town of Byldgewater, which is located on the plane of Gehenna. All along the way, the characters are dogged by a group of adamant fanatics, known simply as “The Critics”, who are determined to not only put an end to such horrific displays and those who harbor it, but also to target and destroy the root cause of these foul creations.
Enkwell Press is headed by well known game designer Brannon Hollingsworth, who has several mainstream credits to his name and was recently appointed to the position of Art Director with Bastion Press as well as highly lauded and industry acclaimed artist and designer, Jesse Mohn. "The Love of Art: Drawn to Gehenna" is not only the initial offering from Enkwell Press, but is also the first product to feature the intriguing Gehennan town of Byldgewater. The second part of “The Love of Art” adventure series will soon follow its predecessor, also as a co-branded release from DireKobold.com and Enkwell Press. Further, two companion products: a D20 city sourcebook entitled Legendary Locales: Byldgewater and a D20 NPC accessory entitled Frequent Faces: Byldgewater are both in production from the folks at Enkwell Press.
DireKobold.com is a D20 adventure e-zine which publishes three new adventures every month. Each of these adventures has been enhanced with the Xenogenic Publishing System. This system allows DMs to customize adventures based on the level and number of the characters in their party in addition to setting treasure levels, the attribute level of the monsters and much more. "The Love of Art: Drawn to Gehenna" is available with a full subscription to DireKobold.com (www.direkobold.com/signup.cgi).
