Enlightened Fist advice??

I am currently running a 2nd level Halfling Sorcerer in a dungeon-based campaign, and am really thinking about picking up a level of Monk and then going for the Enlightened Fist prestige class from Complete Arcane. It seems like a cool way to add some "flashy" (very important to the character) melee capability while not crippling my spellcasting progression. Any advice from anyone playing or DMing an Enlightened Fist right now?

I don't think anyone's had a chance to play one for long yet. My advice is to use a polearm of some sort, perhaps with the longspear-as-monk-weapon feat from Eberron (if allowed). AoOs suck. A spell-storing longspear would be a mighty force.

EDIT: By polearm I mean reach weapon.

EDIT EDIT: And get Practiced Spellcaster.
