For any industry watchers out there, the ever-growing entity that is Fantasy Flight Games/Asmodee Group has to be either fascinating or terrifying (or maybe a little of both). There can be no denying their power and their reach, which is clearly why Modiphius and Cabinet Entertainment decided to partner with them to expand the sales and opportunities for their upcoming revision of Siege of the Citadel.


Fantasy Flight Games to Co-Publish Siege of the Citadel

LONDON, ENGLAND (October 5, 2016): Today Modiphius Entertainment, publisher of the Achtung! Cthulhu, Mutant Chronicles, Conan, Infinity, and John Carter of Mars roleplaying games, and Cabinet Entertainment (Conan the Barbarian, Kull of Atlantis, Solomon Kane, Mutant Chronicles, Mutant: Year Zero, Kult) announced a new partnership with Fantasy Flight Games for the global publishing, retail distribution, localization, and translation of the Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel miniaturesboard game.

In a joint statement issued by Fredrik Malmberg, president and CEO of Cabinet Entertainment and Chris Birch, publishing director of Modiphius Entertainment, "FFG's global reach is unsurpassed in the hobby game industry and their expertise allows us the opportunity to focus on the game's design and development. We're thrilled to be working with them to bring Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel to friendly local game shops everywhere."


Though a board game at heart, there's a lot of RPG elements to the Siege of the Citadel experience, and it also ties directly into the Mutant Chronicles RPG Modiphius already publishes. With FFG's intensive focus on board games and miniatures over RPGs, one begins to wonder if this isn't the start of something more for all companies involved. After all, Modiphius also has the Star Trek RPG license...
