Congratulations to all the awards winners and new judges. I have never felt more in accord with online fandom than I did watching how the awards turn out. A few notes, however, about those not receiving enough attention here. Master of the Game (Jeramy Ware) and Teflon Billy (Jeff Ranger) were very strong active judges last year. Jeff's years of experience and continuous hard work throughout the entire process this year, starting all of our conversations about the products and keeping discussion on-track and focused was absolutely crucial given how many of us were new to the awards. Without him guiding us, I'm not sure how we would have kept our discussions organized and focused through the whole evaluation process. And Jeramy came through during our big decision-making crunch week, working around the clock for days on end -- without him, I'm not sure how we could have met our deadline. Although we have a great slate of new judges this year, I just want to register how tough it is going to be for next year's panel without Jeff's and Jeramy's leadership and dedication. There are some very big shoes to fill on the panel. Also, I have to quote Joe Browning who, at lunch before the awards ceremony remarked that it seemed like Joseph Goodman was in danger of becoming the Susan Lucci of the ENnies. Goodman Games' years of professionalism and dedication are going to be recognized one of these days. God help us if ENnies voters take as long as the daytime Emmy panel to do so. Also, for those not present, Qin's representatives were beyond gracious. It's not often a midwestern audience gets to hear a passionate speech from a French person about how much they love Americans. Very very cool. All in all, an excellent awards ceremony, excellent products honoured, strong gracious speeches and a good time! See you all next year.
