Having reviewed Elements of Magic, I'd have to say it's almost irrelevant to the 3.5 update.

It approaches magic by combining elements, modifiers and effects into spells approximating the ones we've come to know. The spell-level shuffling that happened in 3.5 probably isn't something that can be taken into account.

As for the spellcasting classes, the supplement advocates replacing all of the spellcasting classes with various types of mage: White Mage, Red Mage, etc., making Druids simply Wizards with a different set of spell effects. There may have been other options, but that was the main focus.

Ok, fine, force me to finally buy Crimson Contracts. :)

And I had to buy something else to get over $4.95! But I think I discovered something else good in the process...

Oh, the horrors of a dial up connection...Literally, so many books, so little time. :(

I do have a week to do it though, that's good at least :)

I have to admit for the record that the pdf version of Tournaments, Fairs, & Taverns lacks the greased pig wrestling game. It was a special addition put into the print version by request of Piratecat. Many apologies.

Also, Elements of Magic is being revised a bit for 3.5, since we have to change some of the monster types, and we're re-evaluating how different lists should work since we now have almost a year's playtesting experience from those who bought the book. We're working on the revisions as I type this, and we hope to have the revised version done before the end of August.
