Surface Gnomes Gnomes are a race without a homeland. Despite the best efforts of their god, Greyl'k, the valley hey called home was over-run by Hobgoblins. Many Gnomes were taken as slaves. Many of the gnomes who were able to flee have settled in the kingdoms of other races. Others work to free their enslaved brothers from the hobgoblins. In spite of their hardship, gnomes remain playful and free-spirited. They are given to humor and trickery; in fact, it is their good spirits that has given them the strength to soldier on in the face of hardship. Appearance: X Relations: X Religion: The most common gods for them to worship are Targan, Nylaethia, Horun, and Os. Gnome Lands: Surface Gnomes have no lands of their own, though those who escaped the Ulruz conquest so long ago have spread across Aerde, and may now be found in small numbers in most Human cities, some other cities, and in small settlements wherever their feet have taken them. Languages: X. Racial Abilities: Surface Gnome characters have all the racial traits listed in the Player's Handbook. Deep Gnomes In the chaos following the invasion of their valley, some gnomes fled deep into the mountains, and into the underdark. These gnomes were changed, given the ability to survive there by Greyl'k, and they became the Deep Gnomes. Deep Gnomes are suspicious creatures, quite unlike their cousins. Centuries of living in the Underdark, amongst creatures more dangerous than anything in the Ulruzian Empire have forced them to lose their childlike innocence, a fact that saddens Greyl'k greatly. _________________ An Ulruz Arena DM Arena Player of Tralin, Human Rog1/Ftr2 The For More Than Glory campaign DM Updated 27-Aug Back to top Entropy Council Member (Kinrisar) Joined: 14 Feb 2003 Posts: 208 Location: Punta Gorda, FL Posted: 19 Aug 2003 08:26 pm Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working on this as well. _________________ - Kinrisar campaign DM - Player of Ras Famoon, Human Conj1
