ENWorld Charcoal Reactivated

I've reactivated the ENWorld Charcoal style for a test. Let me know how fast it is loading - I have a theory as to the problem, but I need some verfication.

This time of day always seems slow to me, second only to midday-USA. I think the combination of Left Coasters winding down their workday and Right Coasters getting home and checking in (plus various combinations at all points in between) seems nearly as rough as when Lunchtime sweeps across the continental USA. Might want to perform your tests in the wee hours when server loads are less demanding and steadier. *shrug* Just hard to say right now...

I just "washed my windows", so I decided to flip charcoal on. It's zipping right along for me right now. I've clicked around a bit, and not had any problems yet.

Tested Classic, then tested Charcoal. In the messageboards this works fine for me: I see no dropdown menus, and page loads are 6-8 seconds over several tests.

(An aside: In Charcoal the ENWorld logo does not link to the ENWorld.org main site, like it does in Classic.)

However, as Morrus observed in another thread, I too am still getting dropdown menus on the main site. This seems to slow these page loads down significantly. Main page: about 25 seconds. (Refresh tests 25, 25, 27 sec.) Preferences: about 30 seconds (Refresh tests 32, 31, 32 sec.)

For the moment I'm personally skipping the main page and jumping directly into the messageboards when I visit.

Well, from aproximately 8:40 eastern time last night (Monday) I couldn't get EN World to load at all. It kept timing out. However, this morning (I've been online since around 5:00am eastern) it's as fast as I've ever seen it. Which is to say, it's flying.
