ENWorld Community PoL setting?

With the PoL theme for 4e, I'm wondering if there is any interest in a communal project where we build a PoL style setting from the ground up here on the forums?

Definitly sounds like an interesting idea! I'm not sure to what extent I will be able to contribute, but I would sure like to be involved in such a project to some degree.

Interesting idea! And PoL is ideal for fan-build: since the various locales interact weakly and have limited knowledge of each other, it becomes very easy to drop in (or exclude) any particular town, castle, tower, ruin, dungeon, lake, sea, island, etc.

In fact, it would probably be a good idea to explicitly build your bits such that they are closed--meaning that a town wouldn't have a farmer who's aware of a cult of yuan-ti to the east, but rather a farmer that's aware of an evil cult in a nearby area.

Yeah, creating settlements is probably the best way to go.

Another great thing about Points of Light is you can really drop in everything you want without messing up the setting. Want Hollowfaust in there? Got it. It doesn't mean the town some travel off have even heard of it. And so on.

Kitchen sink that make sense? :)
