EPG Excerpt: Warforged Juggernaut

Coolest warforged pic ever. I also wanna run a warforged rageblood barbarian/juggernaut now. It seems like a perfect match.

Is this any different than the first Juggernaut we got?

I just compared it to the version in Dragon 364. There are slight differences, but mainly in presentation. For example, there 16th level class feature from Issue 364 is split into two class features and the Endurance bonus becomes more generalized. The ruinous onslaught power was also slightly changed.

That is a pretty cool pic. I wish they'd illustrate Warforged in different colors more often, I always forget they're not required to be grey and brown.

A little nitpick ;)

In Dragon, Crag of Steel prevented both condition and ongoing damage if it manages to reduce an attack's damage to zero. While in this excerpt, Crag of Steel does not mention preventing ongoing damage. ;)

So the question is, is ongoing damage constituted as a condition?

If so, then removing ongoing damage would have been appropriate. If not, then I think we can say that this is a nerf (a minor one but a nerf nonetheless).

Another minor difference from the Dragon version is that the new Juggernaut only requires the character to be a warforged whereas previously it also had to have a Defender class.

I didn't even recognize that as Ben Wooten's art! One of his best pieces ever IMO!

Nice! I'm glad the restrictions have been eased up. I'd be sad if you couldn't pair this up with a barbarian.
