[EPIC] Empower Spell-Like Ability

You cannot metamagic epic spells.

Can an infernal legitimately possess the feat Empower Spell-Like Ability [Hellball]? Should I nay-say this?

I see little point in doing so (nay-saying it) since all you have to do to duplicate it is make an epic spell Empowered Hell-Ball which just raises each of the 10d6 damage groups to 10d10 and hand it out however many times per day is equivalent (it doesn't increase spell DC much at all.).

Well, since the infernal's hellball spell-like ability is in fact not an epic spell (it's a spell-like ability, after all) and since Empower SLA applies only to spell-like abilities, and thus is not the same as Empower Spell, I'd say it's allowed.

Hrmm... as a spell-like ability, I'd say it's okay to empower it. It is not an epic spell.
