IMC the PCs are escorting a young girl who is the Chosen prophet of the Goddess and along for the ride is a Friar and his ward  a boy of 15 named Micha.Anyone the group is harrassed by the agents of the Eight who the PCs beleive is after the girl. The eight being a cabal of powerful Fiendish Liches who are the Avatars of Hell. Five of the Eight however are locked in Hell, 2 are missing and the only active one is Lord Vulgus (a powerful Fiendish Lich Pirate) In fact the Lord Vulgus wants the boy Micha who is the reincarnation of an ancient Paladin who destroyed Lord Roth (one of the 2 missing Hell Lords - a Fiendish Lich Barbarian). It seems that the Paladin Micha destroyed Lord Roth by absorbing his soul into his own and both 'died' in the process.If Lord Vulgus gets the boy he will restore Lord Roth to life and the pair will begin to free the other Lords of the Eight (and the PCs will have a new enemy).On the other hand if Micha can safely reach the Temple of the Goddess he will be revealed as the reincarnated Paladin and the PCs gain a new ally.Anyway in my case they got to the Temple The overall Campaign to restore the 8 back to 'life' never finished but it too could be an Epic Campaign (ie stop Lord Vulgus from releasing his Hell Lord brethren from Hell)GuardianLurker I liked this idea and would just like to add another Hook - e) one of the PCs is the new heir and will become the Dragon God once matured...</blockquote>
