Call me Munchkin... go ahead. You've called this poor guy munckin, and he just asked a rhetorical question. But personally, I can see a reason--cinematically--for something like this to be non-Epic. A fourth-level fighter can have Whirlwind Attack (BAB +4, 4 other feats). WWA is pretty darned cinematic--and against a swarm of enemies, can do a horrific amount of damage. A fourth-level archer can shoot *two* arrows. Sure, he can do it from safely away, and archers are pretty cool to start with. So, what if we put the archer in some danger, make it a bit harder to take... and then make it non-Epic? ------------ Hail of Arrows [General, Fighter] When faced with a multitude of close opponents, you can shoot with dazzling speed. Prerequisites: Dex 19+, BAB +6 or higher, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Rapid Shot, Weapon Focus (any bow) Benefit: When performing a full attack action, you may forego your regular attacks and instead fire one arrow per point of base attack bonus at enemies within 10 feet. You may fire only one arrow at each enemy, and each shot uses your full attack bonus with a -2 penalty, as if using Rapid Shot. You may not take a five-foot step this round. ------------ When faced with extreme, acute danger, the archer can be just as cinematic as the greatsword-wielder--though the archer will almost certainly not do nearly as much damage, even at high levels, given that +4 cap on Strength bows.
