DISCLAIMER EPIC level games will be complex. Advanced knowledge of where the rules are found, and how to interact with them and use some ruling technology to your advantage is part of the rewards of getting thru elaborate fictional explanations in how to handle star-wars narrative, and still have fun with this. I don't want to modify the rules. As a whole, they will grow to expand on the game (New Feats, New Force Powers, New Skills Uses, PERIOD; no new classes, maybe new monsters or talent trees to some extend). Filling gray areas not addressed by the system because of different reasons. What this would mean exactly, is up to the recipient of interest--i mean by that either the gaming group or the game master or the enthusiastic player; and even so, these expansion material could be used to enhance your gaming experience. In the end, its a matter of flavor--and HOW you put the ingredients as your group prefers the final recipe. IMPORTANTLY, on contrary from those that prefer a low level game, an EPIC level game is ALSO a fun game. It runs quickly if all the gaming group is knowledgeable (which usually happens if your campaign reaches this level). And Moreover is full of memorable moments, your characters will face important enemies and witness amazing encounters. Yes, the GM of a GM like this is required to do additional work, to do a little bit of Overtime in game prep terms. But is not like you're playing forever at these levels anyway, any group at this height is trying to WRAP-UP their tale. Complete your characters story, destiny, or whatever helps you finishing an adventure. All great stories come to an end. Epic levels rules should help you get there. For example, I've found an interesting Epic Level Variant, that is transcripted below... for lowering the threshold of EPIC level games, or SWSE campaigns in TOP LEVEL runs. This is a New Rule, that may help those STIL afraid of playing at this levels...the SAGA system has no level limit. Note: this is a small joke...to tease you! REMEMBER, Once you reach the top in SWSE, you start going to ruling that is more like an "upper-deck" of options to have fun with. There are numerous rules to build top challenges for any group, I've seen CL50 Space station in SWSE books published by WotC...is is your game not LUcas' nor Disney's anyway. Designed by Matthew “Tao” Myers (2008). "characters never seem to stop advancing. Even a twentieth level character fails to capture the sheer power of Grand Master Skywalker at the height of his achievements. These rules are designed to allow such advancement above and beyond that allowed in the Saga Edition Core Rulebook." Epic Level Advancement Upon reaching 190,000 xp and attaining 20th level, excess Experience Points may be “spent” in order to acquire new abilities according to the chart below. A character may never spend Experience Points if that would drop them below the “Epic Threshold” of 190,000 xp. Attribute XP Cost Replenish Force Points 10,000 Destiny Point 10,000 Feat 30,000 Talent 40,000 Ability Increase 60,000 An Epic level character may choose any Feat or Talent for which they qualify.
