Epic sorcerers and the known spell cap

The lack of an increase in spells known is a major drawback to an epic sorcerer. It is as if the Design Team for the Epic Handbook decided to take the most restrictive aspect of the sorcerer class, the limited number of spells known,(which in my opinion becomes magnified as one advances in level), and frankly made it crippling.

A moderate increase in spells known, 1 spell a level or every other level is not unjustified given that a wizard still receives 2 spells per level plus the abillity to research an unlimited amount of new spells.

I play an Epic sorcerer, and it really hasn't been much of a problem for me. I haven't picked up any new spells known (with the feat) yet, and I still tend to use a wider variety of spells than the wizard in the party.
