This Gen Con was my first one and I have to say that I will make every effort to be there next year. It was great to meet and hang out with a lot of people here. My personal con highlights: Finding every product I wanted to buy and finding out that almost all Classic Battletech miniatures will finally be remade. Got to talk to R.A. Salvatore for a little bit, very nice guy. Monte Cook's game writing seminar was really informative and helpful. The ENies were great and I took a ton of pictures, but haven't had time to look at them yet. Congratulations to all the winners! The EN World Gathering was great, nice to finally put names to screen names. Going to hang out with people at the Velvet room after was lots of fun too. Waking up at 6:30 Saturday morning, after being up late the night before, just to make sure I could get into Piratecat's Cthulhu game. It turned out that the table was all EN Worlders/Nutkinlanders: Nemmerle, Dinkledog, Halma, Doctor Doom, and one other guy who's name is escaping my sleep deprived brain at the time. Everyone was fantastic, that game is definatly one of the gaming highlights of my life. Running two slots of RPGA adventures was lots of fun (even if I was a little soft on the new characters). Thanks to any of my players who happen to hang out here for making it a great time. I did manage to see R&R2, it looks great. Monte Cook's "Requiem for a God" also looked quite interesting. Ok I've rambled long enough. It was a great time, and everyone should go next year.
