WOW! thats about the best word i can come up with to describe my first Gen Con. I got to meet some really great people, play a couple top notch games and spend way too much money. Everyone from the boards i got to meet was great. Claudio Pozas, was really cool i talked with him and the FDP guys for quite a bit about psionics, Claudio's artwork, and a bunch of other stuff. I have to say Claudio's about one of the nicest guys you could meet and i got him to whip up a really cool sketch of a centaur paladin.:D At the Ennies i got to meet Eric, which was excellant, he also a great guy. Very approchable and easy to talk to, just an all around nice guy. Mark caught me by surprise after the awards, and found out that i can be a bit slow on the uptake sometimes. I got to play in his taking of Giants reach the next day and found him to be a great DM, even with a blown out voice! I wish i had caught Morrus but he was pretty swamped. I did however catch Monte at home, Negitive Zero, William Ronald, Ranger Wickett, and a few others. I almost got to meet Piratecat, when my good friend Dareoon Dalandrove stopped by to say hello, DD had played in the EN Boston Feng Shui game at P.cats house, but he was pretty swamped too. Some of the other high points for me included a great game of Spycraft run by the rather talented Patrick Kapera, he was a damn good GM, and lots of fun was had. I also got to meet Margret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Gary Gygax, and Chris Pramas. Over the only things i wish i had done were, sign up for more games( i found it almost impossible to find random people "Just gaming" and getting into games with generics did really work to well for me.), Meet more En Worlders( including Morus and Piratecat.), and meet more industry people( i really wanted to meet Eric Mona, for one but i kept missing him at the WOTC castle). I'll have to work on those for next year! I also got a bunch of pics i'll try to post when i get the developed. I'm sure some of the ones of Eric will be very entertaining. :p
