Escorting the Prisoner Scenarios? (my players stay out)

Hi everyone,

The group that I DM has just set off escorting a prisoner into another country. Many factions want this fellow dead, including the government of the country that they are headed off into. They are also heading into a warzone to get this guy through.

This seems to be a fairly common scenario, so I was wondering if there was any published material on it? I have "Vessel of the Stars" from WotC which is sort of similar, but any other advice, pointers, links would be appreciated.

pick any caravan scenario. just substitute prisoners for trade goods.

what level are the PCs you talking about?

I have 4 level 6 PCs, 2 level 5 PCs, 1 level 4 NPC, and 1 level 7 NPC (the prisoner). They have to travel ~ 160 miles, through the forest and hills, without tracks, and they have a platemail wearing dwarf with them (6 miles/day, unless they use horses, which are more easily tracked, which they don't want).

They've already been attacked once, leaving the gates of the city - the guards were killed and people dressed up as them.

Are there any good caravan scenarios? For some reason my library comprises of the epic adventures, stopping the world, and I seem to be lacking any caravan scenarios.

the old Dragonlance modules had a storybased adventure you could try.

dungeon magazine has some but you will need to convert them from earlier eds to 3.whatever ed you are playing.
