Moreover, there's likely plenty of incidental diplomacy work for such a man of honour in places like Lake Town and Dale, so the 900gp award it is. Adunaic is the Dunedain related tongue of the Men of the West and was adopted by northern Men along with Westron in Ages past. In our period, The Beornings, Men of the Long Lake and Dale will speak in Westron but 'broader' native dialect may fall back on Adunaic words here and there and certain long-lived phrases or sayings may be pure Adunaic. Our knight will have an inherent knowledge of these words and phrases.
