Has anyone ever made specialist templates to be applied to a basic monster or class buid, created to a specific end using unique fantasy combinations of feats and skills?
Like, pick and choose?
I find it's easy to make up on the fly challenges by slapping together element a with template b for a uniqe and specificly counterd encounter.
For example... right now, I'm trying to put together a build based around disarming. I like to have a basic disarmer build using what seems like the most appropriate class/prestige class abilities with feats and skills geared specifically to a fault and unerringly towards diarming. For a super special encounter, put the build on an HD appropriate monster.
Anyone ever make up utility lists like this? The book Ultimate NPC's turned me on to this idea. They ouline your typical NPC's to be given the on the fly modifications as the scenairo requires.
I'm looking for peoples ideas on builds focused around your classic archtypes:
Defender
Spellslinger
Disarmer
Bullrush/Grappler - bear
Ranged Fighter - sniper
Two Weapon Specialist - whirling dervish
Stealthy Assassin
Slight of Hand/Pickpocket specialist
Exotic Weapon Specialist/Finesser
Strongarm/Hammer specialist -
Blaster
Enchanter/seductress
Demonic - template
Vampiric Warrior - hexblade?
Artificer
