Ever think what would happen if an ogre and an elf had a child (gasp!)? Would the child die early in life because of the elves thinking of it as an abomination or the ogres beating the child to death? If the child survived through his or her tormented childhood, what kind of person would he or she be?

No because it's not possible in my world. I view inter-genus attempts at procreation much as it would occur in the real world. I.e. not normally possible. Thus, I can confidently just not consider all the wacky possibilities unless I have a pressing need.

In this case, I would not let it occur. In my opinion, I don't think creatures with different types should be able to have geneal compatibility.

Actually I am playing something simular in a game right now. The situation was an ogre raped a dwarf and I am the cursed off-spring. I was shipped off to an orphanage since the entire ogre tribe was wiped out, and nobody in the dwarf clan wanted to raise me. We used the stats for the half-ogre char. in savage species (It is a Savage Species campaign anyway) and adjusted the stats to reflect the fact that it is ogre/dwarf combo instead to ogre/human. Lots of story possibilities since neither race wants to accept me and most other species have negative reactions (although I don't have too much actual discrimination since I am close to 7' and built like a dwarf).
