Everquest d20?

I dunno about this. Seems like they would have had a bigger fan base if they picked Ultima or Final Fantasy.

Anyone excited by this?

Or, basically, Sword & Sorcery have licensed the computer game, Everquest, and will apparently make a d20 version of it).

D'oh! There's already a thread about this in the general section called 'EQ RPG'. Which I saw a few hours ago, but had no idea what it was at the time, because not being an Everquest player, I had no idea what "EQ" meant in the subject line...

Oh well. One thing, apparently it will use the d20 rules (under the OGL), but not the d20 logo or license. I think that's a first for a commercial product...

Presently, EQ is the most popular MMORPG, surpassing Asheron's Call and Ultima.

I don't know if Final Fantasy is popular, perhaps the videogame is, but any attempt to use other media (like the FF movie) fall short.

While I'm not a fan of pay-2-play online game (either I pay once and only once for the software for a lifetime of play or not), I might check out EQ the pen-and-paper RPG.
