Myself,  my brothers and a few friends from school started in with second edition with a starter kit we picked up after playing Magic The Gathering for a bit. (I can't remember the name of the set we started with for the life of me. All I can remember for sure was that it had an ogre for a "boss monster" and it was probably set somewhere in the Dalelands) Nobody else wanted to DM at the time, so it fell to me to figure out what stuff meant.</blockquote>
