All I was countering was that "they can't take your books away" is not a valid statement for those of us who rely on DDi to prep and run the game. They can take my book away this time and if I don't end up liking 5E I guess I won't be playing D&D anymore. I am hopeful for the final product but my enthusiasm so far is waning. The only semi-constructive criticism I can offer is that it feels like a bunch of guys sitting around the kitchen table writing down a bunch of random house rules hoping that a coherent game will evolve. To me that's bad, I'm sure others like that feel. I assume over time that feel will fade as the game gels better, but so far my initial excitement for 5e has lessened considerably.</p></blockquote><p></p>
