[EXPress] Monster Geographica ... the size

BiggusGeekus

That's Latin for "cool"
I've been meaning to buy the PDFs and I'm glad I didn't. EXPress has their Monster Geographica books in a small size that I found at my FLGS. They are slightly taller and wider than a trade paperback and about 200 pages long.

I have not read them through fully, but they are absolutely ideal for the metro/train or restaurant/cafe reading. I'm liking the content so far, but what I really like is how they are so bloody convienient to read. I curently have Hills and Mountians and [/i]Forest[/i]. If I get requests, I'll do a proper review.

Ya, you will, BG...you will!! Consider this a request!!

I have two of them as well, Underground and MArsh/Aquatic. I think I have others in PDF. They had a really good deal for all 5 at Gen Con that I wanted to get but I couldn't recall how many I had. I get a lot of use of of them when I DM D&D.

Don't forget the Fiery Dragon tins of counters for them. FD is putting out a "master" CD of all their counters sometime during the first half of next year, if you want to wait until then and get all of the counters for these as well as everything else FD has done.

I like printing them out on 100lbs card stock, numbering them, then laminating them. Last forever, you have as many as you want, and they store as easy as cards, except for the huge dragons. I get six giants (or was it 8?) or two dragons (Huge) per page of cardstock. I recommend laminating them before cutting.

They don't look as good as the ones actually done by FD, but that just could be my printer. They aren't as good because the colors aren't as vibrant. However I do like how it made the white and blue dragons look.

i've still barely seen those counters - while editing those monsters, i often wondered what some of them looked like. :)

Do the XRP Monster Geographica books have a picture for every monster? For some reason I recall someone saying that they didn't but it's quite likely that I imagined that.

The pdfs are without pictures, I've got three of them and they are great even though I have lots of the source materials (I was even pleasantly surprised to note I wrote one in the underground book). They would be very convenient in print too for random encounter use at the table I would imagine thanks to the breakdown by CR layout.
