Faaram the Slaadi King

I'd never heard of this guy before today. Googling turned up this card from the Blood Wars CCG:

Faaram the Slaadi King (Warlord)

There's no image or anything, so I don't know the details. Anyone know of anything beyond just a name? Got the card handy to supply some info?

well, they do have lords (at least, really powerful ones who can bully the weaker ones around), so i was wondering if this guy was one of them. :)

Never heard of him either. And was that card actually one that was released [because it's not one that I have among my collection]?

I wouldn't be surprised if they just made him up for that cardgame, similar to them creating "Darktome the Arcanaloth" and an Ultroloth whose name I can't recall off the top of my head as warlord critters for the game [who have never appeared either before or since in any of the relevant sourcebooks on the fiends, etc].

Although admittedly, it's got potential for being a nice easteregg in something for Dragon/Dungeon/WotC book, such as 'Faaram the Slaadi King' was a blue slaadi who declared himself "Lord of all Xaos" and out of whimsy was advanced to Death Slaad status by Renbuu, only to be devoured a day later by Ssendam who might not have approved, or might have and just felt like eating him seemed like a good idea at the time.

Several websites say it is from 2nd Edition, Common, with artwork by Rob Lazzeretti.

No it was a card game in its own right, not an expansion pack for Spellfire. It even had a couple expansion packs of its own.

It was released in a Dual-Deck format so that 2 people could play with just one purchase, and then supported by an expansion pack (Rebels & Reinforcements) made up of cards from the DD release plus 34 chase cards.

Later another two expansions (called Escalation packs) were released: Factols & Factions brought the city of Sigil into the war, and Powers & Proxies added in many of the gods.

There was also the Warlord's Tactical Manual released, which was a more comprehensive version of the standard rulebook, plus tips and tricks for deck building and strategy, plus a very useful picture guide to every card from the intial release and all the expansions.

3 more Escalation packs were planned, though I only know the name of one of them (Insurgents of the Inner Planes) but the line was cancelled. I have LOADS of these cards. In all there were 603 cards released for the game. I think I'm missing about 80 to complete my collection.

Looking at the picture of Faaram's card shows him as a Unique Death Slaad. He added 1 CS (Combat Skill) to each Legion in his Battle Hand (stack).
