Filmaker Michael Moore, is in a race to get his current film to television this year, and just before the November elections.

He wishes to widen the auidences' minds on the current president, with his film, and a sacrifice was done, the film, if show on television, within a certain of time, cannot be recommened in the Best Documentary catergory for the Oscars. The rules were established by the AMPAS, quote: Documentaries shown on television within nine months of their theatrical release are ineligible for the documentary Oscar: enquote.

Sounds like a personal peeve, doesn't it?

Nobody ever accused Michael Moore of having a small ego. He actually believes that he can influence the election by rushing his film to TV.

I doubt he'll achieve anything; most of Moore's fans are of a certain political slant and have already decided who they're going to vote for, while other political groups consider Moore to be nothing more than a partisan loudmouth and don't care about what he thinks.

I wonder how long this thread will last before it turns political and gets closed.

Moderators, please remove this thread. It's a clear violation of the "no religion, no politics" part of "The Rules" which are clearly posted at the head of every forum, and it serves no purpose here other than to invite acrimonious debate. It also has nothing to do with this forum in particular, which happens to be "Fantasy & Sci-Fi Books, Movies & TV." Thanks.
 

Truth Seeker, you know our rule about no politics. Any discussion about Farenheit 9/11 is intrinsically going to involve politics - how could it not? - so it's a poor thing to start a thread on.

The klunking noise you hear is this thread closing.
 

Despite the similarity of the name to the sci-fi "classic" Farenheit 541, this seems much more like political than fantasy/sci-fi, and can't come to any good.
