But for breaking the law people should be punished according to the law and thus paladin should report the deed and make everything in his power to see that prisoner is treated fairly.Take into account that we are not talking about today, with all the talk about human rights and such. While D&D is far more enlightened then our own Dark Ages it is still absolute monarchy and feudalism as most common rules and yes, sovereigns word IS the law.</blockquote>
