[QUOTE="Ruin Explorer, post: 9317645, member: 18"] Pagliarulo already confirmed it's a mistake/typo by posting a timeline. They'll probably have a little joke in S2 where someone has corrected the blackboard or something. Bethesda don't understand the themes of the games, but they do understand basic linear time, I'll give them that! There's a legit criticism to be made in that by allowing the show to [ISPOILER]destroy the NCR - or most of it[/ISPOILER] - they're undermining major parts of the FO2 and NV storylines and themes - and the reason they don't care isn't hate or mean-ness, but lack of comprehension. That said final episode spoilers, but the show absolutely does get it even if Beth doesn't, [ISPOILER]and gets what the NCR meant - and in the end, the NCR achieve something incredible even as they fade - so by the end of episode 8 I was a little more okay with this dramatic decision, though I hope we see more NCR remnants later. They weren't even entirely destroyed "off-screen", because Maximus is from there (loved his Indiana Jones-esque method of survival lol, poor little guy)[/ISPOILER]. I personally have a big question as to whether the show is going to explain the crater in [ISPOILER]the middle of Shady Sands properly. Because I'm sorry, you don't get a crater like that, but with buildings still standing, cars still nearby, from a surface-level (i.e. in a truck or something) or airburst nuke that could cause that kind of excavation, you'd need a large nuke detonated underground (or at least below ground level). I realize this is ultra-nerdy pointless nitpicking but the show managed to nail so many other concerns I was "sure" it wouldn't I'm kind of hoping it gets this one too! It could also have been a truly colossal conventional explosion underground, but you'd have needed insane amounts of explosives - it's been done, though, in WW1.[/ISPOILER] [/QUOTE]
