Familiar Spell

Is the Familiar Spell Feat only available to wizards? The Feat lists Spell Mastery as a prerequisite, which lets Wizards prepare spells without a spellbook. Now, since Sorcerers can cast spells without a spellbook anyway, are they eligible for the Familiar Spell Feat too, or are they completey barred from it?

You need spell mastery in order to get familiar spell. Without spell mastery, you cannot take familiar spell. Only wizards can get spell mastery. So it would seem sorcerers cannot get familiar spell.

But ask your DM, he might change the prerequisites.
