I'll be going this year too (on the Saturday). I'm a long-time gamer, but have never really explored FanExpo's offerings in this regard, which is somewhat embarrassing, I'll admit. In the past, I've gone for the deals on back issue comics, ocassionally gaming stuff (esp. European-style board games and RPG stuff) and, generally, the fan-boy spectacle of the the whole thing. I've been to Gen Con several times as well; the two conventions aren't really the same, so any comparisons between them are bound to be somewhat unbalanced, in my opinion. Gen Con is its own thing, and so too is FanExpo, even if there may be some overlap as far as the interests of attendees go.</p></blockquote><p></p>
