Fantastic structures

Stone Angel

First Post
I need some structures that could be built by a God of building and Structure that had gone crazy. I have a few ideas, but I am running out of steam thanks for any help you can give me.

Well, she wasn't a god, but Sara Winchester was most certainly crazy and built a lot.

Yeah, that's one weird place. One day I'll have to go on the tour.

I'd suggest buildings with many arches, very aerial, no 90 degree angles, lots of curves, very organic.

http://vesselka.freeservers.com/Antoni.htm shows some of the work of Antoni Gaudi. Some could consider this mad..... :D

Check out http://www.greatbuildings.com/gbc.html for a bunch of other stuff.

Hehe, I was just going to mention Escher as well Krieg.

Not only that, but what about one of those never ending stair case buildings. You know the one, where the monks are walking on the top and the water wheel feeds itself. That would be a crazy building. No matter how far you walk, your always in the same place...

I'd say a good place to start would be with buildings that break physical laws- after all, the builder was a god, so could prolly do that kind of thing fairly easily.

That would be Ascending and Descending

Also worth taking a look at...

Waterfall

Tetrahedral Planetoide

House of Stairs

Double Planetoid

Belvedere

Print Gallery

Convex and Concave

Up and Down

Balcony

Oh and just for fun...

I think I just lost a few points of sanity. :)

Wasn't that pretty much what Stone Angel was looking for? ;)

Hey these are great. I am not sure how I could have forgotten about those artist's but....Anyway maybe you could help me on this. This kind of requires some imagination and stretches your sense of physics a little. What about an inverted sphere. Most would say it is just a sphere but how would you describe to someone to give them a sense of vertigo and that inertia just slapped them in the face as all their sense contort to focus on that so wrong image. Actually that isn't to bad right there.
