Ouch, I had "Assassin!" and I believe I still have "Robot Commando". What's that wrong with the Robot Commando cover anyway? If the robot was being controlled by a pirate, wouldn't that be pretty cool?

Eh - reminds me why I read Mad as a kid instead of Cracked. Most of that isn't very funny (or accurate, most of those covers are from gamebooks, which of course featured low budget artwork).

But you have to admit most of the art was irredeemably bad. I find it amusing that the books run the gamut from great, classic sci-fi to complete schlock, all united in their use of really really bad cover art.
