One thing people have complained about for 4e is the names like 'Emerald Frost', 'Feywild' and 'Shadowfell', as well as 3e names like 'warblade', 'duskblade' and 'hexblade'.
Someone explained that in the real world, names grow organically and their origins are often ambiguous - samurai comes from 'bureaucrat', and knight from 'servant'. They recommended 'Near Kingdom' as a substitute for Feywild because it both hints at what the Feywild is while also avoiding the blatant [wordA][wordB] of Feywild.
This has provoked thought in me as to what to name classes. Can we come up with a word that seems more natural than 'warblade', that hasn't already been taken by another class? What could we call the Shadowfell?
Cheers.
