Hi everyone. This has probably been done before, but I'd just like to take a poll of what the most popular D&D 3E campaign setting on this forum is.

This list will probably seem extremely limited at first, since I've had a hard time finding a comprehensive listing of 3E campaign settings, so please just tell me if I miss one and I'll add it to the list of choices.

Also, I would ask that nobody choose "Homebrew", as this is a poll about published campaign settings. Thank you. :)

Gotta say, The Realms.

Too much fun had in the past. The transition to 3e was great. I'm not playing there now, but I have used the well put together FRCS tome as a template for my own creation. Immitation is the highest form of flattery I guess. :)

It's a good example of how to tweak the rules and add to the system to make it unique. I say it's the best (or at least my fav) because even if a person never plays the Realms the book is a great resource anyway.

The Realms in your poll. Though a close second is PlaneScape.
Ive been campaigning in the Forgotten Realms since the original grey boxed set. The atmosphere has always been more of what I envision D&D to be like. Greyhawk was nice but it was never really fleshed out enough.
Personally, I think more work went into the realms (by TSR at the time) to get people to turn away from Gygax's material.
Ravenloft was excellent as well for an occasional jaunt, but long campaigns are another story. The Masque Of The Red death killed Ravenloft,IMO.
PlaneScape was excellent. The mood and atmosphere was so different from the Forgotten Realms and it was done perfectly. The language, the factions, the whole Planar reworking brought a fresh change of pace to the game. I think my friends enjoyed being in Sigil more than Waterdeep or any other locale in the Realms.

Just my two pennies. :D

well *glances at the list* umm greyhawk of those, but outside he list I would pick "Diomin" by "Otherworld Creation", it is sorta an interesting world in that it is very different yet very much the same, guess just a matter of opinion *shrugs*

Should have a few others in the list as well as own.:)

Scarred Lands, give me dirt, give me grit, give me hard and fast times in a land scarred!

For the listed campaigns, had to choose Greyhawk myself. The realms used to be my favorite back in 2nd Edition but the campaign is to over-the-top now. The books are horrendously expensive (especially with the exchange rate). I prefer the core D&D books, which cost less and use Greyhawk as the default setting. It's like a two for one special.

My favorite d20 setting that isn't on the list is FFGs Dragonstar. I'd also put Planescape and Dark Sun before any of the ones listed once the official fan-sites put out the new 3E rules for them.

Freeport is pretty interesting too. (I'm going to have to finish reading that book.)

Was looking forward to Privateer Press' new campaign setting but it's taking them way too long to get it to print. I'm patient but not that patient.
