the super shotgun from liero, great game simple with no useless grafics to slow it down. or: CATapult Ring "It isn't that effective, but the screaming cats alone make it worth it." This silver band is carved to crudely resemble a cat biting its own tail. When a charge is spent, the CATapult Ring summons up to five cats that dart forth from the ring at ballistic speeds with unerring accuracy. The cats fly at the target with claws flailing causing 1d4+1 points of damage automatically striking the target, even if the target is in melee or has anything less than total concealment. Specific parts of the target cannot be singled out. The damage inflicted on the target by each cat is also inflicted on the cat that caused the damage (roll for cat's hp 1/2d8). Cats that survive the impact are magically bound to, and depend on the summoner for food and all other care that a normal animal should receive. They are not and cannot be dispelled or gotten rid of by any means short of death. There are even rumors of wielders of this ring to be haunted by the presence of the ghostly cats that have perished, and rumors of cats swarming the graves of dead ring wearers. Even if the cat were to be locked into a treasure chest, devoured by a Purple Worm which was banished into another dimension, and so on, the cat would return to the summoner the very next day. This ring can expend 5 charges per day, and up to 5 charges in a round (1 charge = 1 cat).
