Well done for a low budget film. Hats off to Sam Raimi, whose career I might compare to those of David Cronenberg or David Lynch.</p><p></p><p>2. <em>The Exorcist</em>: In my opinion, this is the absolute scariest film ever made. The director's cut included some extremely creepy bonus footage as well.</p><p></p><p>1. <em>Dead Alive</em>: Amazingly well done for a low-budget film. Quirky, creepy, and yet somehow classy at the same time, this is probably my absolute favorite. Unsurprisingly, it was also directed by Peter Jackson. I saw and loved it long before he gained his widespread notoriety.</p></blockquote><p></p>
