This free module is a blast to the DM reading it, and as an adventure on its own it is excellent. (This download is 5.4 mb, so depending on your type of connection, it may take a few minutes to download). Now the true genious of this pdf is the fact that the entire thing makes you laugh if you are the DM, and cry if you are a player *S*.
What ever you can think of for Thanksgiving and beyond has been converted into 3ed rules, though sadly their is no mention of any Cranberry ooze or Turduckin. What it does have however is a great session or two for your players.
This should be something to download and read, even if you can't find yourself running it (Those outside of the USA may not get all the jokes contained within). Though I do reccomend you play or DM this, it can easily be inserted into any campaign. It also isn't something that requires setting up, or that much preparations to get players involved.
I simply have to say that one should read this, and not consider it simple humourous and file it away. This a great adventure and if you can contain your own laughter enough to have your players play through it, then you will have given them a great time.
Feast of the Gobbler is a totally free 29 page holiday adventure from Necromancer Games. Necromancer Games pokes a bit of fun at itself in this adventure, by showing the orcus logo done as a large turkey, since this was released days before Thanksgiving, that seems appropriate. It follows a standard 2 column format. The artwork, as well as the adventure were both done by the author and fit nicely with the general feel of the product. The fact that it is totally free and yet at the same size of many products on the market is refreshing for a big company like Necromancer Games.
The adventure leads a group of heroes to the greenhill and council bluff area where they must investigate the dissappearance of several villagers, who believe a tribe of barbarians whom they have lived peaceably with for years are responsible for the abductions.
Oh and beware of the Gobbler!
