[QUOTE="Navarp, post: 4023578, member: 25543"] So I have some feats from other books that I have changed the flavor of to reflect a Dragonlance campaign. I would like the feats to be initially judged "in a vacuum" as is, and if necessary I will give more details about the character for whom the feats were adapted. ANY feedback is appricated from flavor, to rules, to personal taste. Thanks in advance. CLOAK OF SABLE [DRAGON OVERLORD] The Toughness of Sable cloaks you in a veil of Chaos. This protects you from all attacks that are not bane to Chaos. Prerequisite: Chaotic alignment. Benefit: Your Cold Iron damage reduction increases by 1/Cold Iron. The amount of damage reduction increases by 1 for each additional Dragon Overlord feat you possess. If you don’t have Cold Iron damage reduction assume you have damage reduction 0/Cold Iron. Special: You are careless when it comes to your own fundamental well-being and take a -2 penalty on Survival checks. SKIN OF GELLIDUS [DRAGON OVERLORD] Your skin has rough, scaly patches that enhance your natural armor. Benefit: Your natural armor bonus improves by 1. This improvement increases by 1 for every two Dragon Overlord feats you possess. If you do not have natural armor, assume your natural armor bonus is +0. Special: Your thickened skin tends to catch on objects and makes you less flexible. Because of these effects, you take a -2 penalty on Escape Artist checks. BODY OF MALYSTRYX [DRAGON OVERLORD] As Malystryx is the largest of the Dragon Overlords so you are very large for your species. Prerequisite: Any 3 Dragon Overlord feats. Benefit: Your gain the Powerful Build trait. This lets you function in many ways as if you were one size category larger. Whenever you are subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), you are treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to you. You are also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect you. You can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, your space and reach remain those of a creature of your actual size. Special: Your huge size tends to catch people’s attention and make you stand out. Because of this effect, you take a -2 penalty on Hide checks. The benefits of this feat stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject’s size category. HEART OF KHELLENDROS [DRAGON OVERLORD] Khellendros was able to withstand the forces of negative energy, so to can you. Benefit: You can absorb harmlessly a number of negative levels per day equal to the number of Dragon Overlord feats you possess. For example, if you have two Dragon Overlord feats, you can gain up to two negative levels on a given day and not suffer any ill effects. Special: Your barest tie to the Negative Energy Plane is offputting to animals. You take a -2 penalty on Handle Animal checks. VISIONS OF BERYLLINTHRANOX [DRAGON OVERLORD] You periodically experience visions from the near future. Prerequisite: Wis 13, any one Dragon Overlord feat. Benefit: Your visions reflect possible futures, and you can act to ensure or resist them. You gain a number of floating +1 insight bonuses equal to one-half the number of Dragon Overlord feats you possess (minimum 1). The bonuses last 24 hours, and you must reassign them at the start of each new day. You can assign each bonus to one of the following: • Your Armor Class • Your attack rolls • Your initiative checks • One of your saving throws (Fortitude, Reflex, or Will) • Checks made with one skill of your choice Since insight bonuses do not stack, it's best to assign each one to a different kind of roll or check. Special: Your visions tend to create unwelcome hallucinations. This effect imposes a -2 penalty on Spot checks. DRAGON’S FAVOR [DRAGON OVERLORD] The forces of the dragon gods smile on you. Perhaps your true destiny will help them, or perhaps you serve them willingly. Whatever the reason they have given you the ability to call upon a tiny fraction of their powers to aid your efforts. Benefit: When you attempt an attack, save, or check of any sort, you can beseech the dragon gods to aid you. You gain a +2 bonus on the attack, save, or check. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to the total number of Dragon Overlord you have selected, including this one. DRAGON’S STAMINA [DRAGON OVERLORD] Your body is infused with the toughness and fortitude of a dragon. You can shrug off attacks that would slay a lesser creature. Prerequisites: Vase Fortitude save +3, Any other Dragon Overlord feat. Benefit: You gain 2 extra hit points per Dragon Overlord feat you have selected, including this one. These hit points add to your maximum hit points, just like hit points from any other source. In addition, once per day you gain fast healing equal to the number of dragon overlord feats you possess for 5 rounds. INSANE DEFIANCE [DRAGON OVERLORD] You adopt insanity as a shield to turn effects that target your mind against those around you. Prerequisite: Base Will save +5. Benefit: As an immediate action, whenever you are the target of a mind-affecting spell or spell-like ability, you can take 1 point of Wisdom damage to retarget the effect to another creature of your choice within the effect’s range. The new target takes a –4 circumstance penalty on its saving throw, if any, against that effect. Special: If you cannot take ability damage, you cannot select this feat. [/QUOTE]
