Once someone has played the game their opinion of the game is much more insightful and valuable. All of the "we looked at it and hated it" is just first impressions and shock from the percieved differences. Most people I know who play 4e love it and say they are never going back.I would like to hear female opinions from women who have played it.My wife (who we've been together for 15 years now) and played D&D together since 2nd editon, LOVES it more than any previous edition...period.She loves the variety in the class choices at first level and as classes go up in levels. She loves the class features and differences between each class.She loves that the game is less video gamey and more gritty, with healing surges adding tension as they are used up and characters can't be healed.   She loves the tactics and group co-operation.She loves the monster write ups and special rules each monster has.She loves the rituals, colorful magic items and other "realistic" fantasy feeling features.Our group is almost level 5 now, with 60 hours of play experience. She thinks most of the negative opinions are wrong and from people who haven't given 4e enough of a chance.Personally, I agree with her. Come 6 months from now I think most D&D players are going to finally adopt 4e when they realize most of their fears are misplaced.</blockquote>
