I recently purchased the Feng Shui rulebook, and, oh man, is it cool... while reading it I cooked up some ideas, and, taking the beginning of the given adventure in the book, came up with this adventure idea. (by the way, this is a low-magic, modern-day setting in Chinatown and San Fransisco) The adventure starts with all PC's sitting in a restaraunt. Recently a terrorrist organization known as the Dragon Spawn has been threatening to spread a deadly virus throughout all of America. In the resteraunt, a commercial is blaring for K.O. Chocolates, a chocolate company led by Tucker Lee, a retired Texas Boxer. K.O. Chocolates is going to be sponsoring a local New Year's celebration, in which all chocolate will be free. The restaraunt is suddenly raided by 10 members of the Poison Blades, a notorious local gang lead by Dog-Eyed Pete (recongizable by his two-toned eyes). Dog-Eyed Pete is there himself. They begin trashing the place, refusing to take money. Only jewelry and stuff. Of course, the PC's fight, and defeat the Poison Blades. When 6 of the Blades are defeated, Pete (or one of the others if Pete has been defeated) suddenly holds a blade to an old lady customer's head, demanding the characters to stop. The Gang drag off their fallen comrades and run off. Although the police come, they refuse to have anything to do with the Poison Blades. The Blades are "beyond the reach of the law at the current time." It's up to the PC's to find them. Enter a number of interesting NPC's. There's Stave Jones, a gang member who's currently in jail. Also, there's Kyle "Krafty" Craft, an Ex-Blade who's scared that his former comrades will come to kill him off. Given the right conditions, either of these two will tell the characters that the old abandoned Staples construction lot is a popular hide-out for the Poison Blades. With their old headquarters burnt down by a rival gang, the Poison Blades will probably be meeting here. The Staples construction lot was abandonded when half the building collapsed in the middle of construction, killing 20 people. Little did they know, the lot was cursed with bad chi. When the PC's go to investigate, they'll most likely fight with the Poison Blades themselves. If not, they'll at least wake the dead. At least a few Poison Blades will fall, and can be searched to reveal Security Badges for the local Science Museum. Recently, the museum revealed its newest showing- Robotic dinosaurs that were programed to act just like real ones! What the characters do next is up to them. They can decide to go to the museum at night and surprise some of the Poison Blades working as Security. That night, the Dragon Spawn will also be visiting the museum, hiring the Poison Blades to guard as they trade money for the virus from a group of mad scientists. As things would have it, the trade is being held on the floor with the robotic dinosaurs. Should the characters decide to watch, they'll see Tucker Lee himself, in the dress of the Dragon Spawn, managing the trade. A fight will eventually ensue, and some mook will crash against a control panel, setting the Dinosaurs to attack mode. Tucker Lee will escape alive, driving back to his Chocolate Factory in which he will mix the virus with his chocolate recipe. There could be a fight at the factory between the PC's, Tucker (he was a boxer before his chocolate business), plenty of Mooks, and maybe even some Chocolate Golems (who knows?). This could take place on catwalks overhanging great vats of boiling chocolate. Hopefully, the characters will be able to stop the virus-laden chocolate from leaving the factory, and save the world. What do you think?
