Dennis "Chopper" Guffey - Everyman Hero BOD: 7 (Tgh 8) CHI: 0 (For 10) MIND: 5 (Wil 6) REF: 7 Skills: Drive +7 (14) Guns +1 (8) Info/Beer +8 (13) Info/Fishing +5 (10) Info/Sportsfan +8 (13) Info/Lumberjacking +7 (12) Martial Arts +6 (13) Gambling +1 (11) Unique Schticks: Lucky - Fortune dice spent do not reduce Fortune rating for checks. This'll Do - Add +1 AV for any attack with an improvised weapon. Wealth: working stiff Possessions: carries nothing more dangerous than a Leatherman multi-tool. Dennis "Chopper" Guffey hails from Marinette, Wisconsin, just a short trek north of Green Bay. He is a lumberjack both by trade and by hobby. He works for a lumber company, operating the heavy equipment used for cutting and hauling timber. During his weekends, he's a semi-professional lumberjack, competing in events such as Underhand Chop, One and Two Man Crosscut, and Log Rolling. His passions in life revolve around drinking beer and lumberjacking, drinking beer and fishing, and drinking beer and backing the Packers. Oh, and deer hunting (and drinking beer). He is approaching his late 20's and endures the constant badgering from his mother about finding a proper girl and settling down. Generally a very laid-back and easygoing guy, he is polite to ladies but won't take an insult sitting down. He insists on dressing in work clothes unless he absolutely can't get away with it (plaid flannel shirt, dirty jeans, heavy boots, and a very well worn Packers baseball cap). Dramatic Hook: While leaving the beer tent at the Lumberjack Days Festival with some buddies a few years back, they spotted a fortune teller's tent. His friends insisted that Dennis get his fortune read - it was his birthday, after all. The gypsy laid the cards before him and immediately her eyes rolled up and fluttered uncontrollably. In a creepy voice, she pronounced: "You who are the Prince of the Hallowed Path, whom the Shadowed Flightless shall prevail upon; open the door to yesterday only after the ascention of the Orange Moon, or face the demise of your very world. Go Packers." The gypsy collapsed and Dennis left, laughing off the silly show with his friends as they stumbled home. Less Dramatic Hook: Dennis' older brother Jonathan, the successful black sheep of the family, has been working for some business in Hong Kong for the last few years. When asked what sort of work he does, Jonathan mutters something about international investment management and changes the subject. When his boss at the lumber company informed Dennis that he had acrued six weeks of vacation and a new "use it or lose it" policy was being implemented, he decided to take off for Hong Kong to visit his brother. Much to Dennis' disappointment, however, Jonathan has been too busy to entertain his younger brother or show him the sights. Dennis, ever the optimist, has taken it upon himself to wander the city and try to absorb the culture (and local beers) by the whims of fate.
